Sheehy Commends Billings Clinic and Bozeman Health Increasing Health Care Access

U.S. SENATE – Senator Tim Sheehy today applauded Bozeman Health and Billings Clinic on their new collaborative effort to increase access to high-quality health care for Montanans.

“My wife, Carmen, and I share a passion for increasing access to critical health care. We have been honored to support Montana health care in the past, and we are proud to see Bozeman Health and Billings Clinic’s continued leadership and innovation. This new agreement will go a long way in achieving our shared mission of ensuring Montanans have access to the best care available when and where they need it. As Montana’s senator, I will keep fighting for commonsense ways to increase access to high-quality care, lower costs, increase competition and transparency, and protect rural health care access,” said Senator Sheehy.

Bozeman Health and Billings Clinic today announced they are entering into a formal arrangement to expand access to health care at the west Bozeman medical campus developed by Billings Clinic on Wellness Way. Additional collaboration between the two Montana-based health systems will provide a cost-efficient way to quickly offer increased patient access as both organizations plan for future growth and expansion of services.

Background:

Senator Sheehy and his wife, Carmen, believe strongly in giving back, having donated millions to support pediatric health care improvement, neonatal intensive care, and helping establish Montana’s first Level I Trauma Center, among other philanthropic causes in Montana.

Billings Clinic Bozeman opened in 2023 and was designed with future growth in mind. Now, that vision is taking its next step forward. Located on 58 acres near the 19th Street and I-90 interchange, the facility opened with multispecialty clinics and an ambulatory surgery center. Late last year, Billings Clinic and Bozeman Health collaborated to integrate Bozeman Health clinical services into available areas of the facility, with Bozeman Health leasing a portion of the space.

Building on this successful collaboration, the two organizations are now partnering for equal ownership of the undeveloped open land and are exploring ways to increase patient access in the outpatient clinical space and surgery center. Joint planning will begin immediately with a goal of delivering additional services and increased patient access over the next year.
